Kida gets selected in the Indian Panorama category at 80th Goa International Film Festival
Goa International Film Festival has been far-famed for its magnificent value across 80 years, and it remains a privilege for many movies at the least to be nominated for it. This year, the surprise entry ‘Kida’ has enthralled the crowds by being nominated along with actor Suriya’s production ‘Jai Bhim’. Bankrolled by ‘Sravanthi’ Ravi Kishore & Krishna Chaitanya of Sri Sravanthi Movies, the film is directed by Ra. Venkat, featuring Poo Ramu and Kaali Venkat as the titular characters, which has turned the spotlight upon the Tamil film fraternity for its unparalleled creation. The film is crafted with the premise of a relationship between a little boy and his grandfather across the backdrops of Madurai. With the film’s complete works wrapped up and scheduled for worldwide theatrical release soon, Kida is screened at Goa International Film Festival under the category of Indian Panorama, where it has been selected among the three best movies from the Tamil film industry. Exhibiting the cultural and traditional ethnicity of Tamilians, the film is a colossal piece of work made with newcomers in the lead roles, directed by Ra. Venkat, who earlier worked as an assistant director in the movies like Kirumi and Rekka. Producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and Krishna Chaitanya of Sri Sravanthi Movies, who have churned out successful hits in the Telugu Film Industry for the past 35 years, have produced this movie. Poo Ramu, Kaali Venkat, Master Deepan, Paandiyamma, Loki, and Kamali are a part of the star cast.
